    • In addition to the elevators: you cannot take the two main elevators to the 22nd floor, Pastell Rooftop Bar. There is no information that you have to switch to the side elevator.
    • Great stuff and many thanks for that. My situation would be slightly different as I'm technically self- employed, although in a partnership. So my thinking was maybe a covering letter from myself and then another letter from accountants/solicitors to verify my status. Another option would be retirement visa, however the DTV visa would be more accurate as I'd still be still working whilst in Thailand and then travelling back to the UK roughly every 60 to 90 days for a few weeks before returning to Thailand. I'd probably try and avoid spending the 183 days per year in Thailand that means you need to do a tax return.
    • Hi @Mark22 I successfully applied for the DTV very soon after it went live. I'm in the US and I used the website (https://www.thaievisa.go.th) and applied through my closest Consulate (Los Angeles).  Fairly straightforward process... It's about on par with the process for getting a SETV or METV. As for evidence of working remotely, I used a written verification of employment from my employer, indicating that my work location is "Virtual" (aka "remote").  I had the visa in hand 48 hours after applying. Cost: 10,000 THB. Valid for 5 years, with multiple entries, 180 days each entry. If you want to stay longer than 180 days (up to 360 days), you can get an extension for 1,900 THB. But then after that, you'd need to leave and come back. If you have any other questions, feel free to DM me.
    • A great hotel -  Have stayed here a few times over the last couple of years and agree with everything @sydney69er has stated above. The amenities of the hotel are excellent, the pool is a great escape from the hustle of Sukhumvit and the gym is perfect. A special mention to the buffet breakfast as it is very very good, I think the only hotel that beats it in BKK would be Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai where upon arrival they give you a map to navigate their restaurant.
    • Stayed here a few times in 2024 and as others have said the rooftop bar is great. I also liked the gym which is well equiped and large, it's located on the same level as the pool with is also good. Agree with Transpo -  the elevators are about as slow as I've ever experienced in a hotel, there is however a third elevator around the other side near concierge as you enter the lobby. Breakfast is fairly average. Location is good being halfway down Soi 11, a short walk to the BTS.
