Some hotels won't accept a guest under 20 year old. Example : Adelphi hotel in Pattaya.

Ok thank you for the answer. But is a civilian 19 year old considered underage by the authorities in this situation? -

When the ID is kept by the reception one of the staff will later enter the details of the ID in a log book. Name, time and date, BIRTHDAY and which room she visited. So if the authorities do a spot check on the hotel they will check for underage women who had visited the hotel with a guest. The hotel probably gave back the ID to the lady because they do not want to get into trouble if they are holding on to her ID if the authorities make a surprise check. -
Obviously because hotels don't want teenagers cavorting with adults in their rooms, regardless of whether it's p4p or not. I would do the same if were them. Wouldn't you?

Can somebody update me on this, why do the hotels enforce an above 20/21 year old rule for guests? Is it just for when the guest is a working girl and not a civilian? I remember bringing a girl (civilian) I was on a date with to my hotel last trip and I had her show her ID at the reception because there were signs everywhere saying that all "guests" have to show ID at reception. The girl was 19 years old at the time and instead of keeping the ID the reception just smiled and handed it back to her while they kept the ID overnight of another girl (also civilian) I brought back to my hotel but who was 27 years old. I am planning on meeting the first girl again in 3 months and who will now be 20 years old, will this be a problem?
